Eugene Composite is a not-for-profit youth mountain bike team. Our vision is getting more kids on bikes while teaching mountain biking technical skills, sportsmanship, and stewardship. This community sports program engages kids of all kinds in an outdoor adventure setting. Eugene Composite supports the NICA missions for all athletes to participate regardless of skill. Our team includes riders of all levels and backgrounds from grades 6 through 12.
Eugene Composite is a member of the Oregon League of NICA (National Interscholastic Cycling Assocation). Our coaches are NICA trained and certified which includes CPR, concussion, and wilderness safety traning for many of them. Eugene Composite also follows NICA saftey protocols and guidelines.
Our team is committed to building a mountain biking community where every young rider feels welcome, supported, and able to thrive. We offer financial‑need scholarships to reduce barriers to the sport, and we proudly participate with GRIT—Girls Riding Together—to empower more girls to ride with confidence. With two women head coaches leading the way, we’re working to get even more girls on bikes. Inclusion isn’t an add‑on for us; it’s part of how we ride.
Our Mission: Eugene Composite Mountain Bike Team provides student-athletes with coaching, support, and camaraderie to help them achieve both competitive and noncompetitive cross-country mountain bike goals in a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment.
We serve student-athletes in Lane County, Oregon, and operate under the Oregon Interscholastic Cycling League and the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA). The Team follows NICA’s mission: To build strong minds, bodies, character, and communities through cycling.
