Parents are welcome to ride with the team during preseason rides. After July 1, a parent may join for one ride, with a valid team waiver. Absolutely! We need volunteers who take charge of some team activities during race weekends to include shopping and meal preparation, tent/pit zone setup, teardown, and general coordination of athletes. Additionally, parents can volunteer for race day responsibilities with NICA and the Oregon League. Races require many parent volunteers.
Racing is optional! Athletes can choose to participate in races. However, we find that even our most hesitant riders thrive on race day. Our team and leauge provide welcoming, inclusive spaces for all riders and all levels.

Athletes and their families are not required to camp. In fact, many of our families choose to stay in hotel lodging. However, the majority of our families to camp together, creating a unique bonding experience between teammates and their families. Free camping is provided by the league and most or all venues. Some venues (like Mt. Bachelor) do not allow tent camping. Camping is often in a large open field, where campers huddle together in a slightly chaotic format. Camping is typically on-site or very near the race venue. Porta-potties are also provided.
